Neon Inspiration

I am totally smitten over the neon trend. Nicky Hilton pulls it off effortlessly in this pic above. I have started collecting a few neon items, just to name a few, the cozzie I wore on the previous post ,a pair of earings and a bright tee. What are your thoughts on this trend?

Weekend Away

It's way too early to be in need of a weekend away,but my family and I could not resist Kamonande Nature Reserve. Now I am not a big fan of pitching tents and sleeping on the ground,but to my surprise we stayed in a private chalet which was definately something to brag about. We even had our own game drive bakkie at our disposal.

Please excuse my Day 1 pics,I was so tired I practically napped the day away. Day 2 however, we had an early start. We all got up and started our Game drive at 7 AM. It took us an hour to finally see some wild life. We spent the rest of the day lounging by our private pool.

In no time the weekend was over and we were packing and back to reality. This is the perfect weekend away destination as it is only a one and a half hour's drive from Pretoria.

P.S the two little ladies in my pics are my Princess's in training;)

Essie Spring 2012 Collection

How gorgeous are these new colours from Essie? Love everyone of them. I am a big fan of bright nailpolish in the summer time,it kind of brightens up your day. Essie is a great brand with a large variation in their colour range,from pastels,to bright to goth like.

I am looking down at my "nude" nails and thinking that bright orange would be fabulous!You can invest in Essie’s new collection in February when it hits stores.

Damyller S/S 2012 Women's Lookbook

I came accross this fantastic Brazilian designer Damyller today. Their designs are simple yet really wearable. That's what attracted me to look at the rest of their designs. As much as I love fashion, I must feel comfortable, now I know when it comes to shoes this is not always true, but I guess there are always exceptions. The things we do for Fashion...

Lunch with the whole familia

After all the Christmas and New Years festivities were over,we invited our whole family to our house for dinner,a traditional South African dish with a Portuguese twist- Beef PotjieKos. This dish is quite complex,it involves abit of layering of the ingredients and up to 4 hours cooking time.

Now being Portuguese means a big family,getting together,sharing stories and enjoying a great meal together,oh not to mention a little vinho too!Things can get out of hand,but I love family time!

The weather has been scorching hot lately,even though I love the fact that I can get my tan on,it's so uncomfortable when it comes to choosing an oufit! I can only handle wearing the minamal amount of clothing,something light but still cute. I opted for this floral dress which is flattering around the waist area.Even though my hair is loose in these pics,I quickly tied it up right after I snapped these pics!

By the way if you are wondering who that cute little guy is at the end of my post,it's my little guy - Rocco;)

Gautrain and a little shopping

Yesterday my mom and I hit Sandton and of course we went on the Gautrain which is always fun.Sandton is getting incredibly big and there is just so many fantastic stores! 2012 Resolutions

With a new year comes New Year's Resolutions. This year I have decided to keep them visible,I mean if I look at my list from last year...not everything was crossed off. This year I will keep it short,simple and attainable!
